Various ingredients for an enhanced calf performance.

Veal production is highly sensitive to quality, whereas the rearing of calves is generally less critical. The diversity of ideas, principles and requirements of CMR manufacturers and farmers leads to a large variation in the recipes applied.

In general, veal calves are fed with a highly concentrated liquid CMR from 0 up to 28 weeks of age. This varies between different countries. CMR ingredients are selected for nutrient density, nutrient digestibility and high quality. Roughage is supplied in limited amounts and mostly because of health reasons.
Rearing calves receive liquid feed combined with solid feed for up to 6 weeks of age, subsequently followed by solid feed only.
